Architectural Review Board
June 17, 2025

Call to Order
Ms. Stripling called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. and asked for a roll call.
Roll Call
The roll was taken by Ms. Hale and a quorum was determined with four members present.
Adoption of Minutes
April 7, 2025 Meeting Minutes
The motion was made by Mr. Meyer and seconded by Mr. White to adopt the minutes as written. The motion passed unanimously.

86 East Main Street
Mr. Strenz showed the board the colors he’d like to paint the old sheriff’s building, repainting the trim to a cream color and the door green, coordinating the colors with 72 East Main,
across the street.
The motion was made by Ms. Hanks and seconded by Mr. Meyer to accept the color scheme. The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Strenz stated he would like to convert the inside into two apartments and convert the magistrate’s office into two or three Airbnb units.
There were conversations held discussing what type of replacement windows were accepted and the type of air conditioning unit would need to be installed and the placement of the unit.
It was agreed to allow 4x4 replacement windows in a dark color and replacing the roof with a similar brown color, ad replacing the gutter with a dark color.
Mr. Strenz stated the HVAC system would either be mini-splits, nothing in the front and they would be placed either on the sides or on the back of the building, and no window units.
The motion was made by Ms. Stripling and seconded by Mr. White to accept the green and off-white color scheme presented for painting the building and window frames, the board accepts
the replacement windows, which should be 4 over 4 in black or a dark color or similar style for the odd shaped windows, depending on what fits. The roof be replaced in similar materials
and color and the gutter be replaced in a dark color and that painting the whole building in the presented color scheme is acceptable. The motion passed unanimously.
The motion was made by Ms. Hanks and seconded by Mr. Meyer for the HVAC to be allowed to provide some mini-splits or ducted unit and as minimally visible from the street as possible
and any deviation from that should come back to the board for review or if it requires structural change to the building. The motion passed unanimously.
72 East Main Street
Mr. Strenz reported he would be painting the door front and windows in the same color scheme as presented.
The motion was made by Ms. Hanks and seconded by Mr. White to accept the painting scheme for 72 East Main. The motion passed unanimously.
49-55 East Main Street
Mr. Strenz stated he would like to paint the Allen Building in the same color scheme as presented.
The motion was made by Mr. Meyer and seconded by Ms. Hanks to accept the painting of the color scheme for the front building windows and framings for front doors. The motion passed unanimously.
Adjournment
With nothing else on the agenda, the motion was made by Mr. Meyer and seconded by Ms. Hanks to adjourn the meeting at 3: 36 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
