Town of Pulaski Planning Commission
Municipal Building Council Chambers
May 13, 2024
Commissioners Present: Kevin Meyer, Terry Hale, AJ Schrantz
Commissioners Absent: Van Taylor, Rachel Nelson, Dustin Davis, Rachel Arthur
Staff Present: Summer Bork
Call to Order
Mr. Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. The roll was called, but a quorum was not determined.
Review of Minutes
April 8th minutes were tabled with a motion by Mr. Schantz and a second by Mr. Hale.
Old Business
Modular and Manufactured Housing remained tabled.
Staff Report
Ms. Bork informed the commissioners that she had scheduled a public info session relating to Manufactured and Modular Housing to inform the public of the update that the commission had
been working on related to Manufactured and Modular housing. The chairman and other board members thought there might be some public pushback due to miseducation and familiarization
with changes in state building code, improvements in public safety, and building requirements related to the modular and manufactured housing industry, which might smooth the process.
She encouraged the commissioners to attend the session on May 20th from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM.
The Commission then discussed the possibility of differentiating residential land use within the future land use map by density classifications to protect neighborhoods. This change
would lay out neighborhood density intentionality for the future within the town.
Ms. Bork informed the Commissioners that she was in Charlottesville, on June 10th and would probably not be back in time for the meeting. She informed them that she would find someone
to cover for her.
Commissioners said they would rather not meet without someone to answer technical questions.
Mr. Meyer asked Ms. Bork what was expected to be on the agenda for the next month. Ms. Bork gave a brief overview of what she expected on the agenda for June. Mr. Meyer, with the consent
of other members, determined to cancel the meeting with the potential to call an emergency meeting should the need arise. Mr. Meyer requested that Ms. Bork send an email out to the
commission to inform them of the cancelation.
Mr. Schrantz informed those present that he would not be in attendance for the July 8, 2024 meeting.
Mr. Hale moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Schrantz seconded, and with no objection, the meeting ended at 6:48 PM.
