Home My WebLink About2026-16Resolution 2026-16 A Resolution Recognizing Small Business Week in the Town of Pulaski, Virginia WHEREAS, small businesses are a vital part of the Town of Pulaski's economy, providing jobs, services, and opportunities that support the prosperity of our community; and WHEREAS, small businesses across Pulaski represent the entrepreneurial spirit of our residents and contribute to the strength, diversity, and resilience of the local economy; and WHEREAS, business owners invest their time, talent, and resources to serve the needs of residents, visitors, and other businesses throughout the community; and WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski values and supports the contributions of small businesses in all sectors, including retail, services, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, and professional services; and WHEREAS, small businesses contribute to the unique character and identity of the Town of Pulaski, helping shape the places where residents gather, work, shop, and connect with one another; and WHEREAS, the Pulaski Economic Development Authority works in partnership with the Town to support entrepreneurship, encourage business investment, and promote economic opportunity throughout the community; and WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski joins communities across the nation in recognizing Small Business Week during the first week of May as a time to celebrate the contributions of local businesses and entrepreneurs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, hereby proclaims the first week of May as Small Business Week in the Town of Pulaski and recognizes the many contributions of small businesses to the community's economic vitality and quality of life. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council encourages residents and visitors to shop local, dine local, and support the small businesses that help make Pulaski a strong and thriving community. This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted on this 51" day of May 2026 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of Pulaski, Virginia as follows: Jeremy L. Clark- Aye G.
